Violence erupted at a Black Lives Matter protest leaving ten police officers injured.
Around thirty arrests were made at the Martin Luther King Day march in New York City.
Foxhole News writes on its website: The protests, which started peacefully in the afternoon, became ugly after police told the marchers to vacate the area when night fell. Many failed to follow the police’s instructions and violence broke out.
Many on social media took the protesters’ side, despite the injury done to frontline law enforcement officers. The American news outlet CBS euphemistically described the violent marchers as “black liberation protesters” and failed to acknowledge the role played by the controversial Black Lives Matter movement.
