NEW ZEALAND — The UK’s mum has forced it to ‘stand still and apologise’ to New Zealand after two positive Covid19 cases have ended New Zealand’s 24-day Covid-free run.
Having learned of the incident from well-known tell-tale, France, the UK’s mum pulled the UK by the ear, marched it down the neighbourhood to Antipodes Avenue, and knocked on New Zealand’s door.
“I watched the whole thing,” revealed Davo Galah, from neighbouring Australia. “Poor little fella was red as a beetroot. Strewth.
“When New Zealand came to the door the UK was shuffling awkwardly and staring at its feet. Then its mum told it to say sorry.
“It muttered the apology under its breath at first, so its mum shouted, “stand-up straight and say sorry properly.” Fair dinkum, the UK did what it was told.”
Between tinnies, Galah said that the UK tried to bluster that it was the failure of New Zealand’s quarantine system which was the cause of the problem.
“But its mum was having none of it.” He continued, “Blaming someone else is NOT an apology,” said its mum, then she asked if the UK could do anything to help.”
“Look, it’s fine,” said New Zealand, according to Galah. “We’ve had to bring in the military and we need to trace 320 close contacts, but we’ll sort it.”
The Dafty understands that the UK has now been grounded and that some of the neighbours — Ireland, France, and Germany — have been banned from playing with the UK by their mums.
